The successful applicant will report to the Fitness & Wellbeing Manager and will be expected to deliver exceptional service to all our Club Family Members.


Job Purpose

Manage and develop the crèche setting on a daily basis ensuring a safe and high standard of learning, development and care for children.

Direct the team to implement programmes with a view to enhancing the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of children.


Job Tasks/Duties

  • Manages team rotas in the crèche and ensures adequate cover in case of team absence or sickness.
  • Monitors all crèche programmes to ensure that the setting is clean, safe and fully compliant with The Club Company's regulatory and organisational guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Takes a lead role in monitoring and evaluating the crèche programmes in line with identified objectives and outlines key issues and findings to the Fitness & Wellbeing Manager.
  • Complies with organisational policies and procedures whilst actively promoting the principles of equal opportunities and working in a manner that maintains a safe, healthy and supportive environment for team and children at all times.
  • Helps develop the creche by introducing new initiatives and services.
  • Creates an environment where parents feel comfortable leaving their child in the crèche, and their needs and anxieties are understood and responded to sensitively by crèche team.
  • Ensures that ratios of qualified team are in line with Ofsted recommendations, and that all team are DBS checked and are registered with Ofsted voluntary register; keeps copies of documentary evidence.
  • Ensures that customer feedback and complaints are handled promptly and professionally, with serious issues referred to the Fitness & Wellbeing Manager.
  • Ensures that health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to in all areas of the crèche and is responsible for the crèche emergency evacuation procedure; reports any accidents in the prescribed manner.
  • Sets up regular catchup meetings with the crèche team and participates in senior management meetings.
  • To ensure a high degree of personal presentation and hygiene in line with the company's dress and appearance policy.
  • To be a positive ambassador for the Company's CARE values at all times.
  • Minimum of a Level 3 in Children and Young Persons Workforce or equiv.

Licenses and Special Requirements

  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Paediatric First Aid
