Working Hours:
_Full time is 35 hours a week. Part time is at least 21 hours across three days a week_.

Working closely with Casework Directorates, the Stakeholder and Regulatory Liaison team will focus on the impact we want to have externally on our key stakeholders and the need to work with and influence them to advance our prevention agenda.

The scrutiny on our service at this time means that it is very important that we have effective and impactful engagement with our key stakeholders.


The Stakeholder and Regulatory Liaison Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting Senior Leaders in Casework to develop and implement their communication and engagement strategies with key external stakeholders.

You will understand the external political, economic and regulatory environment.

Alongside Senior Leaders in Casework, you will monitor relevant developments and changes in the outside world and think strategically about how these might impact our casework and service.


You will help making sure knowledge about how we work with financial businesses and Casework Directorates is developed and shared across the Service, working to continuously improve our processes and procedures and demonstrating the impact of our service.


Key Responsibilities- Building strong relationships with Casework Directorates, our Communications Team, and key external stakeholders to gain insight into any issues or changes that may impact on our work, as well as influencing them to make positive changes to benefit the customer and deliver our commitments.- Using your network to facilitate introductions to Senior Leaders in Casework, which will be used to share key messages and gather information that is valuable to our Service.- Using the knowledge and expertise you have of these key stakeholder groups to advise Casework Directorates on how best to engage with them.- Together with Casework, monitoring key developments and regulatory/ legislative changes in the outside world, analysing how these may impact us and bringing these to attention of the relevant Directorates and helping them influence the changes to support our service with its work.- Acting as a conduit to help Casework Directorates delivering key messages across a larger number of stakeholders.

For example, organising round tables, helping disseminate messages to a large number of respondent businesses to ensure they understand and adopt our typical approach to complaints - including to change policy and procedures to benefit customers who do not use our service.

You'll have to meet the following minimum criteria:

Minimum Criteria- Experience of working with external stakeholders such as professional or financial services businesses, industry and consumer groups, government, regulators or other ombudsmen- Able to use data and insight to make informed decisions and make recommendations- Engaging with people and audiences at all levels and in a variety of formats - using influencing, negotiation, and facilitation skills- Adapting your approach and communication style by taking individual needs into account, recognising that our customers come from a diverse range of backgrounds
