This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their finance career within an established business.

During this 12-month apprenticeship you will gain a Business and Administration SCQF Level 6, as well as learning from our experienced team.

Upon completion of the Apprenticeship a permanent role with us may be available.

Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm. Based at our Dennistoun office


Who are we?

Scot JCB has been supplying and servicing JCB machinery throughout Scotland and the North of England for over 60 years.

We sold our first machine in 1956 and have grown into a highly specialised machinery distribution company operating through a network of 17 depots from Fraserburgh in the North East of Scotland to Carnforth in Lancashire.

Scot JCB is the largest JCB distributor in the UK and we pride ourselves on providing our customers with world class service.


What will I learn?
In this role you will learn all aspects of the Credit Control team, including:

  • Updating customer details and opening new accounts
  • Collating cash and cheques for banking and posting all receipts on the computer system
  • Updating finance systems and documents
  • Other duties within the accounts team such as answering phone calls, processing incoming and outgoing mail etc
  • Providing a professional service to both customers and employees

What qualification or qualities are required?

  • Maths and English qualification
  • Keen to learn and develop their skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • Comfortable working with numbers
  • Be able to work as part of a small team and have the ability to
work on own initiative
