Description

We're looking for someone dynamic, ambitious and eager to make an impact to join the commercial team of our contracting division.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensuring the requisition systems is being used with sufficient lead times to enable the efficient running of all material procurement activities
  • Working with the operational teams to develop project procurement schedules to provide the timely procurement and delivery of essentially materials
  • Materials procurement and negotiation for the demolition and asbestos divisions liaising closely with the commercial team and site teams
  • Developing supply chain relationships and procurement agreements with key suppliers
  • Be the 'Champion' for the purchase order system ensuring all users are following company procurement and goods receiving processes
  • Support the operational and commercial teams in identifying opportunities to generate cost savings and efficiencies
  • Supporting with the management of the stores including developing systems for stock control and contract costings
  • Previous experience in buying or procurement
  • Experience of the construction industry desirable
  • Negotiation skills with the ability to identify key opportunities to reduce cost
  • The ability to build effective & productive relationships with suppliers and colleagues
  • The ability to build confidence and know when it is appropriate to push suppliers or colleagues to resolve difficult issues and disputes
  • Good listening skills and ability to understand or question requirements
  • Computer literacy on full Microsoft suite with an ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Attention to detail
  • A full UK driving licence.

Salary:
From £35,000.00 per year
