Description

This is a unique opportunity to work with a wonderful young 27 year old man in his own home close to the Middlesbrough area of Cleveland/Teesside.


Despite his disability related to Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy he enjoys a very active social life and likes to be out everyday with his support workers.

Horse Riding, Hydrotherapy, going to gigs, hospital radio, and the theatre are among his interests.
- £12.63 per hour weekdays plus occasional sleep-ins paid at National Living Wage
- £13.68 per hour weekends (£20.52 per hour bank holidays).
hours a week.

  • Permanent contract following initial 6month probationary period.
  • 28days annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata).
  • Experience in working with adults with disabilities/brain injuries is desired, but full training is provided.
  • Having a positive, cando attitude and friendly personality is much more important.
  • Dog friendly is preferred as our client has a dog.

Our client


The gentleman is a fun-loving young man who lives in his own family home which is adapted for his needs.

He is like any other 27-year-old, always active, sociable, and always doing something, whether that be a physio appointment or enjoying one of the activities he loves.

He has several different and varied hobbies that he enjoys including playing wheelchair football, hydrotherapy, hospital radio, flying and more.

Part of your role as one of his Support Workers is to keep him doing the things he loves and living life to the full.


Your Role
You will be part of a team providing 2:1 support to this gentleman.

You will play a key part working alongside his family and a team of Therapists to support client's ongoing rehabilitation.

You will his specific care/support plan, ensuring his welfare and safety at all times. There will be aspects of personal care involved in the role. You will gain valuable experience which would support a long-lasting career in the field.
