This is a fantastic opportunity to work with learners from age 16 plus and truly influence their career choices, whether they are looking to further their education or enter the workplace.

We work closely with other departments and faculties to ensure that our English provision meets the needs of our learners, whatever their background taking into account any barriers to learning.

Are you looking for a teaching role that offers more? We pride ourselves on our approach to the work life balance of our team and actively support job share and flexible working opportunities.

We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England.

We have a thriving English and Maths team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength.

We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.

We have an excellent reputation within the sector and we even host our own networking events, attended by specialists from all over the country.

We are genuine, caring and truly invested in our teams. We host CPD sessions every week and have an extensive mentoring programme.

We offer an excellent package including a generous annual leave allowance of 37 days per year for curriculum staff,
plus five College closure days,
plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata for part-time), fee waivers on some College courses, a contributory pension scheme with the Teachers' Pension Scheme (current employer contribution is 23.68%), discounts with local businesses and access to a cycle to work scheme.

CWA focusses on staff well-being and utilises both internal and external resources, such as a well-being committee and access to a free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme as well as comprehensive training and development.

Please note that your point on the salary scale will be determined based on both experience and teaching qualifications.

Appointments will not normally be made at point 10 or above (£32,384) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.

Due to some funding changes, this is a rolling advert. We will typically shortlist every Friday and interview the following week.

Please note that all interviews are conducted face to face, we are unable to facilitate online interviews.
