    Job Summary

    A Medical Receptionist is required to join our Practice Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties, including greeting and directing patients, managing appointments, and providing general support to the clinical team.

    We are seeking 1-2 full or part-time candidates, with one early morning and one late night shift per week. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the General Public and be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

    Main Duties

    The core responsibilities of the Receptionist include:

    * Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system

    * Processing personal, telephone, and e-requests for appointments

    * Answering incoming phone calls, transferring calls, or dealing with callers' requests appropriately

    * Signposting patients to the correct service

    * Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, team members, and external agencies

    Salary: £18,500 - £22,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

    Person Specification

    * Essential qualifications: GCSE level or equivalent

    * Desirable qualifications: GCSE Mathematics and English (C or above), experience working in a healthcare setting
