Accommodation Officer

Location:
Tower Hill

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm

Position:
Full time

Salary:
£24K +

Start date:
ASAP

Main duties and responsibilities:

To manage the hostel database
To work closely with the Admission & Marketing departments to confirm room availability & booking confirmations
To assist students to book rooms at the College residences and with other student accommodation providers or homestay if needed.
To issue invoices, collect funds and liaise with the Accounts department on a regular basis
To efficiently communicate the list of new arrivals to the Accommodation Site Manager and third party accommodation providers on a weekly basis
To meet new students on the first day of their course and to complete the initial feedback form
To efficiently report any issues to the Accommodation Manager and third party accommodation providers as soon as possible
To ensure any action taken is accurately recorded
To deal with all accommodation complaints
To make sure all rooms are fully occupied at all times
To assist students with any issues and cancellations when a problem arises
To carry out regular inspections on the residential hostels
To issue tenancy contracts & reference checks if needed
To review the accommodation handbook & keep guidance and policies up to date
To file and safely store risk assessments and maintenance documentation

Other duties may involve:

Assisting the Marketing team with the creation of accommodation brochure and factsheet
Assisting the Admission officer of each department with new enrolments
Contacting external Accommodation providers to increase the number of room allocation if needed

Essential:
MS Office skills, attention to detail

Desirable:
knowledge of database, previous experience in student accommodation or hospitality sector.

Salary:
From £24,000.00 per year
