The focus of the posts will be to undertake assessments and support planning under the Care Act for people with mental health and substance misuse issues.

You will also be expected to undertake assessments of mental capacity and be involved in safeguarding enquiries. This is a varied and interesting role and will provide numerous development opportunities. You will work alongside Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and other Resource Officers, as well as colleagues from partner agencies. You will have the opportunity to work on the duty rota as well as picking up casework.

You will need to be an effective communicator, have a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and the ability to promote independence and resilience, in accordance with the Care Act 2014.

You will need to have a good basic understanding of the relevant legislation, and mental health needs and/or substance misuse issues to ensure the person's needs are met and associated risks are well managed.

The ability to engage with clients' families, carers and providers is also essential. Please do see the job description and person specification for further details on the requirements for the role.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
