  • ASAPA leading special education provider for London and the South East is now looking for an experienced
    Speech and Language Therapist to provide professional leadership to the SLT provision as
    Clinical Lead, supporting vulnerable learners based around the SW London border.


Established in 2013, the trust has since grown to provide holistic education services to over 1500 young people experiencing intrinsic barriers to learning including profound and multiple learning disabilities, sensory differences, SLCN, and complex medical histories.

Each education centre offers its students a personalised approach, intensive support, and integrated therapies for a comprehensive learning experience - championing respect, establishing strong foundations, and initiating access to life-changing opportunities - that brings out their full potential.


As Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist, you will have management responsibilities for the speech therapy professionals within the integrated therapy service, including SLTs and SLT Assistants, and act as a source of professional expertise and guidance regarding the delivery and evaluation of targeted interventions.

You will be able to contribute to strategic and operational planning to influence service development, and take advantage of workplace research and clinical development opportunities (including clinical supervision and peer support) as part of a well-rounded CPD and career progression pathway.


You will have a base site - choosing from Uxbridge, New Malden, or Sutton - but will travel across sites for quality control purposes.

Travel expenses between sites will be subsidised.

This is a permanent position with flexible working options; preferences for full-time (36h), part-time and term-time-only can be considered.


Person specification:

- (_Essential_) HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT)
- (_Essential_) Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
- (_Essential_) Previous learning disabilities & ASD experience
- (_Essential_) Previous experience within a senior / leadership role
- (_Desirable_) Previous paediatric experience (children / young people)
