Description
Progressive IFA practice based in Alderley Edge require a Financial Planner to complement their existing team.


The role is to service and grow a 'bank' of existing clients in line with the company's service proposition offering holistic whole-of-market investment advice and lifetime financial planning services.


Duties and responsibilities
General accountabilities


Be central to the regular and detailed updating of client activity with both the Administration Team and the Business Risk team to ensure client best outcomes and a free-flow of information.


Conduct regular and in-depth client financial circumstance reviews covering their current provision and future aims, recording all information within the set guidelines.

Review and respond to clients changing needs and financial circumstances. Analyse information and prepare plans best suited to individual clients' requirements.

Complete risk analyses and assist the Business Risk Analysts work to provide best client outcomes.

Assist all clients to make informed decisions.


Communicate with other professional connections, such as Chartered Accountants, Solicitors and specialist Mortgage Advisers who can in turn offer the client base a wider specialist service to be seen as offering a more complete service.


As part of your own on-going CPD and part of your Training and Competence scheme you should keep up to date with financial products and legislation so as to be operating as a 'trusted adviser' to all clients.


Produce comprehensive meeting notes and re-assessment of suitability reports to assist on the planning of best outcomes for clients and business alike.


Contact clients with news of new financial products or changes to legislation that may affect their savings and investments as part of your overall business plan and part of your Training and Competence scheme.

Meet and exceed the regulatory aspects of the role, e.g. Requirements for disclosure, costs of the services provided and also the advised products.

Ensure the maintenance and recording of your own personal Continuing Professional Development (CPD)


Person Specification

Essential

  • At least Level 4 Diploma in Financial Services (DipPFS).
  • Ideally be working towards Chartered to preserve the firm's Chartered status.
  • Competent Adviser Status.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team and be adept at doing both.
  • Able to use one's initiative and equally be relied upon by other members of staff a team player.
  • Ability to identify and manage risks.
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite to augment service to clients and professional standing.
  • Ability to provide accurate and timely management information to clients and internally.
  • Relevant and useful working experience in similar role.
  • Ability to use discretion when processing sensitive financial information.
  • Simultaneously commercially aware and compliant to FCA guidelines
  • Selfmotivated and ambitious.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to react to pressures calmly, efficiently and professionally always.

Desirable

  • Cashflow planning experience and expertise this is what they do and hence it's vital to be competent.
  • A passion for and about holistic lifetime financial planning.
  • Chartered Financial Adviser status (or working towards Chartered status).

Working conditions


This role is part-office and part-field based and as such requires a willingness to travel and attend meetings offsite with a variety of clients, professional connections and service providers alike.

£50,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
