Job Description:

The Wellness Hub Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of users at the Riviera International Centre's health and fitness facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the overall safety and satisfaction of all users;
• Promote exceptional customer service and motivate individuals to adopt healthy lifestyles through effective communication and sales techniques;
• Oversee the daily operation of the Shapemaster Suite, including managing bookings and facilitating sessions;
• Drive the Innerva/Wellness Hub brand by adhering to operational and sales procedures;
• Provide holiday and sickness cover for the gym as required;
• Liaise with health professionals in primary and secondary care settings and community groups to promote exercise referral schemes;
• Work closely with the Fitness Manager to implement current and new exercise referral schemes within the community;
• Build relationships with health professionals to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and information to refer patients onto Activity for Health schemes;
• Collaborate with the Council's Public Health and WellBeing Team to promote other health-related schemes;

Day-to-Day Tasks:

• Work on a shift rota system to manage the daily operations of the facilities;
• Undertake inductions, fitness assessments, and personal programs in accordance with the Innerva brand;
• Be aware of all Health and Safety issues within the Centre and implement procedures to ensure safe practices;
• Guide, care for, and assist fitness users in areas of motivation, well-being, nutrition, and fitness testing;
• Contribute to achieving income and sales targets for the Shapemaster and fitness facility;
• Ensure the health and fitness facilities are clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times;
• Perform maintenance work as required;
• Verify that all equipment and facilities are safe and secure when not in use;
• Undertake any reasonable request to assist with daily operations;
• Establish strong partnerships with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Primary Care, and Secondary Care professionals to support exercise referral and Shapemaster membership development;
• Liaise with existing exercise referral scheme coordinators across the county to promote schemes locally;
• Engage with GPs and other health professionals to encourage continued referrals onto existing and new sessions;
• Collaborate with the Council to jointly promote health-related schemes where possible;
• Maintain accurate records of scheme literature, paperwork, and referral forms;
• Deliver presentations and talks to diverse audiences.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be flexible, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team. They must possess a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification and be willing to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends. A Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification is desirable but not essential, and any Level 4 Referral qualifications would also be advantageous.

They must be able to gain acceptance and respect from clients and teams involved, build strong relationships with customers, clients, and employees, communicate effectively at different levels of the organization, meet the demands of the role by working additional hours when required, demonstrate clear identification with customer requirements, maintain good employee relations, deliver quality training, and perform recreation assistant duties when needed.

Additionally, they must be able to work from various locations as and when required.

DBS Disclosure:

The position of Wellness Hub Supervisor requires a DBS Disclosure. If the individual does not already hold a DBS Disclosure, they will need to be submitted for a DBS check.
