Food Integrity Assurance (FIA) are delighted to have been awarded the contracts to deliver assessment and certification services on behalf of Quality Meat Scotland, Scottish Quality Crops.

LEAF and Wildlife Estates Scotland which will support over 13,500 agricultural businesses thought Scotland.


We are seeking to engage farm assurance assessors in key locations, with demonstrable experience within the livestock and crops sectors and/or the certification industry, to join our expanding team in managing the delivery of certification requirements for the Schemes owned by Quality Meat Scotland and Scottish Quality Crops.


Reporting into a regional Team Leader, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and proactive work ethic to manage key relationships including Scheme Members, internal certification team and external clients.

A full training program will be provided for the role which can either be a full-time position or sub-contracted.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments, spotchecks and witness assessments as required in line with Scheme, ISO 17065 and FIA quality requirements
  • Ensure assigned assessments are planned in line with ISO 17065 requirements
  • Responsible for the management of your assigned assessment delivery in line with utilisation and contractual requirements
  • Assist the Technical Manager and Team Leaders to plan assessor training and witnessing requirements in relation to the implementation of new services in accordance with accreditation requirements
  • Where required provide support with evaluation and certification activities in accordance with ISO 1706
  • Support the Technical Manager and Team Leaders with the testing of assessment data management systems and associated electronic checklists
