Creative Retoucher

Here at N Brown, we are looking for a Creative Retoucher to join our Studio Services team


You will be working within a highly motivated team who work collaboratively to provide the best customer experience via our online imagery.

You will be responsible for providing high quality retouch to the Creative Photography - comprising of location and studio shoots that form part of our marketing and campaign strategies.

As part of this role, you will use your skill to follow direction and quality thresholds on the Creative Shoots.

You will be the main point of contact for the Creative Team to ensure the brief is met and will communicate this to the wider team who will support you.

In addition, you will support the In-House Ecommerce photography, model photography and still life retouch.

Your role as a Creative Retoucher:

Main Responsibilities:


  • Retouching Creative campaign and marketing shoots, shot both on location and in studio.
  • Liase with the Creative and/or Brand teams to understand the exact retouch requirements and gather feedback.
  • Update the Retouch Manager and Creative Team on job progress.
  • Ensuring a consistent finish on a job, focused on agreed quality expectations.
  • Retouch ecommerce photography that is shot within our inhouse studio model and still life when your not working on creative photography.
  • Brief in the wider team where required on job specifics to ensure everyone is working to the same standard across a job both inhouse and freelance support.
  • Assist and support team members working alongside you and provide development and training to Junior Retouchers.
  • Demonstrate excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to quickly change priorities and work to very tight deadlines.
  • Develop & knowledge share with the team, to install production best practice, communication, and decisionmaking excellence for long term efficiencies.
  • Be aware of core throughputs and how delivering quality and quantity is a core metric of the department.
  • Strong knowledge of colour grading and correction techniques.
  • QC your daily workload.
What experience are we looking for?

  • Highly skilled and experienced in the Adobe Suite and in particular, Photoshop.
  • At least 5 year's experience in Creative Retouch.
  • Strong, proven experience (portfolio) in Creative campaign and marketing shoot retouch (studio, location etc).
  • Highly creative, with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Significant experience in collaborating with creatives.
  • Experience of working to marked up PDF documents.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Excellent people engagement skills.
  • Proactive, positive & flexible with a 'cando' attitude, able to motivate colleagues to achieve excellence.
  • Supports the development of others by sharing experience and expertise.
  • An openminded, flexible and positive attitude toward new challenges, with a willingness to implement new technologies and business change.
  • An excellent working knowledge of retail asset production and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible working hours may be required.
