Description

TSR are recruiting for a Design & Technical Manager to join our client, an award-winning Main Contractor, who specialise in the development of new build housing and residential projects.

Coordination with the different departments of the organisation, external consultants and suppliers.
Managing a team of technical coordinators and engineers.
Managing the design process using your commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise.
Supporting and advising the client as to the requirements of their obligations in the development of a building design;
Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards and codes of practice, where appropriate
Provide the necessary knowledge and expertise to keep track of legislation as dictated by industry standards of Building Control, NHBC and national and regional planning law and policy.
Controlling financial risks during construction.
Monitoring and controlling design fees.

The role will be split between office and site visits with capability for home working at times as well.
