This is a great opportunity to join a hardworking, supportive team responsible for the effective, efficient, and legally compliant delivery of passenger transport services.

The role is primarily focused on checking and electronic authorisation of supplier invoices and other payments, as well as providing timely payment and accurate recording of reimbursement to transport operators in respect of the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS).

In doing so, you will assist in providing monthly financial calculations, forecasts and complex analysis in respect of the ENCTS reimbursement.

You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving payment issues in order to ensure prompt payment of invoices and other payment streams.

You will be expected to extract and manipulate data from the Concessionary Travel Scheme Database to monitor patronage and help to inform scheme decisions.


Essential Requirements:


  • Collecting, collating and manipulating statistical information
  • Using databases and spreadsheets to produce reports
  • Dealing with suppliers and members of the public by telephone which may include difficult conversations
  • Routine monitoring and task prioritisation
  • Ability to compile and analyse a large set of information from various databases and sources
  • Problem analysis and solving
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Able to use own initiative in planning and prioritising workload
  • Good communication skills, demonstrating tact, assertiveness, and diplomacy
