A multi discipline firm that specialises in businesses setting up in the UK are looking for a Client Onboarding and Compliance Assistant to assist with performing checks on all potential new clients and related parties at the client on-boarding stage as well as on a regular ongoing basis for all existing clients.


The role will primarily focus on ensuring the firm maintains its Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance for all existing clients through ongoing reviews of the firm's large and diverse mix of clients.

However it will also include supporting the main onboarding process to ensure we can begin work with clients as quickly and seamlessly as possible, while ensuring all necessary checks and documents are in place.

The role will be part of a small team and also be part of the firm's wider support network. Ad hoc projects or coverage of other team members will also form part of this role.


This role will involve regular contact with clients and staff from across the firm, and so Oury Clark are looking for an enthusiastic person who can communicate well and has good attention to detail.

This position will be varied, interesting and challenging and will focus on:

  • Regular review of existing client base to ensure all Engagement and KYC records are in place and kept up to date
  • Researching clients and their corporate structures, using firm's third party data providers
  • Identifying and escalating any potential issues, and liaising with appropriate Partner/Fee earner
  • Day to day support and coverage for lead Onboarding Supervisor, to assist with the onboarding process for new clients
  • Collaboration with wider support teams and assistance on various projects and tasks
Person specification

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a enthusiastic and professional manner
  • Good attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a small team and taking ownership of tasks
  • Flexible 'cando' approach
  • Previous experience in a similar role desirable but not essential
