Clinical Coders

Venn Group is currently working with an NHS Trust, based in Surrey, who are recruiting for multiple full-time and part-time Clinical Coders to join their dynamic team.

You will be required to analyse and abstract complex clinical information from patient records.

Hourly Rate:
£19.96 PAYE inc hp

Location:
Surrey (remote and hybrid available)

IR35 Status:
Inside

Responsibilities:

Analyse and abstract complex diagnostic and procedural information from patient records across all clinical specialties
Translate diagnostic and procedural information and enter coding onto the Trust's PAS via encoding software
Routinely access all electronic clinical systems available to ensure all relevant details are recorded for each patient spell
Maintain high levels of concentration for long periods to ensure all discharged patient spells are coded by SUS submission deadlines
Assist in resolving coding queries as raised by members of the Clinical Coding team, sharing expertise and assisting in the interpretation of complex information ensuring national standards are met
Regularly liaise with clinical staff from all specialties and discuss and understand complex diagnoses and procedures where it is necessary in order to assign accurate coding
An ACC or NCCQ qualification
Practical experience of working in a clinical coding
Cerner Millennium experience
