Overview:


The KYC Operations function is looking for KYC Operations risk and control manager to support the Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory (BCMA) Financial Crime In-Business Risk team.

The individual will be a highly energized, dynamic professional who is ready to join a fast-paced, world leader in the financial services industry.

This individual will work across a broad range of stakeholders including BCMA Corporate Banking, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit and Legal, leading initiatives to enhance the KYC control environment across the Business.

The individual will work on behalf of the Banking & Capital Markets Business to monitor, measure and improve services provided by Operations teams, ensuring client experience and the Business / firms regulatory commitments are at the forefront of control &process development.

We aim to provide a best in class service to our clients while maintaining our regulatory compliance standards and minimizing Business risk.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with Global and Regional In-Business & Operations teams to develop strategic solutions for KYC / AML Financial Crime related matters.
  • Partner with 2nd and 3rd Lines of defense to review and evaluate Risks, Policy, Controls and execution.
  • Manage execution of the Business control framework, including functions that sit within the BCMA landscape including Business Managers & Client Relationship Associates.
  • Refine current processes to ensure continual improvement and client experience.
  • Responsible for analysis of data and preparation of escalations to Senior Management to ensure timely execution of key risks
  • Present and represent controls at Regional and Global risk and governance forums
  • Interact with BCMA's product partners on Financial Crime related risk issues to ensure all relevant controls are effective
  • Responsible for evaluating internal reports, databases, and operations to produce strategic and operational analyses inclusive of quality controls
  • Assist with regulatory and audit inquiries as appropriate
  • Contributes to strategic, crossfunctional initiatives increasing BCMA's efficiency and risk management.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets
  • Support BCMA including interfacing with clients when necessary to explain Citi's overall approach to Financial Crime risk
  • Upholding a culture of Compliance and awareness demonstrating the appropriate leadership qualities.

Qualifications and skills:


  • 610 years of experience in a Financial Crime control or KYC Operations environment,
  • Ability to lead teams & design processes
  • Ability to interact with senior leadership, influencing decisions through clear rationale & communication.
  • Strong writing, analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a global, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and under deadline
  • Must be proactive and keen eye for attention to detail
  • Must be able to solve issues by taking ownership and following though until the task is complete.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel, MS Access, & MS PowerPoint
