Remote - UK
3 month temporary contract - potential to be extended
We are recruiting a fantastic opportunity for our client, who's ore businesses are corrections, education and training are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Payroll Advisor.
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure payments to all employeesin the business are processed correctly and on time, including managing payroll preparation; completing reports; maintaining records and managing pension funds as appropriate.
Your duties will include but not limited to;- Oversees the processing and BACS of one monthly payroll and expenses run on time and through the appropriate channels ensuring final payroll checks have been completed.
- Maintains accurate records to assist with monthly invoicing, reconciliations and both internal and external audits.
- Responsible for processing BACS payments in line with client schedules, ensuring that salaries and third party payments are paid accurately and on time.
- Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, pensions, leave and nontaxable salaries and provide as appropriate.
- Responsible for reconciling and managing the payroll on a monthly basis and prior to each year end process.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure all expenses are reconciled, paid and audited in adherence to current company policy. Balancing
- Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies, procedures and processes.
- Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new payroll legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Previous experience as a Payroll Adviser.
- PAYE knowledge covering all aspects of payroll processing which includes End of Year (EOY), Real Time
- Information (RTI) & Auto Enrollment.
- Experience of having managed a variety of pension schemes including the ability to administer and manage auto enrollment.
- Good Microsoft office skills including intermediate level excel skills.
- Ability to calculate manual payroll calculations including statutory payments.
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative showing a proactive approach.
- Able to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to manage and prioritise their own workload.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring work is of a high standard.
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously where necessary.
- Knowledge of payroll related Tax Year End procedures and filing of returns to HMRC
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
