Dutypoint produces, sells and distributes pump systems primarily to the construction sector for the provision of solutions such as hot and cold water, water pressure booster sets, waste water management systems and fire safety sprinkler systems.

We are currently recruiting for a Service Advisor to join our Service department.

The new Service Advisor will act as a first point of contact for both customers and engineers. We need someone who is dynamic, resilient and forward thinking with a problem solving mind. The role is challenging - we have demanding clients, breakdowns and emergencies to deal with all over the UK.


Daily activities within the Service Department are focussed to ensure timely fulfilment of customer needs and to constantly improve the level of customer service provided.


Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling engineer attendance
  • Communicating with customers scheduling a large scope of works and supporting fundamental documentation.
  • Promoting the business, building positive relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Communication with engineers confirming workload and issuing reports as well as checking parts / stock.
  • Liaising with subcontractors placing orders and seeing the job through from start to completion
  • Service support checking engineer reports prior to issuing to customer. Preparing quotations for remedial works. Completing Sales Orders to ensure prompt invoicing. Creating Proforma invoices and obtaining payment.
  • Parts arranging for components to be sent to engineers / subcontractors. Assisting in managing returned items.
  • Department development make suggestions and strive for improvement. Implement agreed changes and be adaptable to change.
  • Proactive office based sales and promotion of Service Packages.

This role would suit somebody who has worked in a customer services or customer-focussed position previously.

If you have worked as a Service Advisor in an industry with a technical bias such as the motor trade or perhaps within engineering, you would be ideally suited, particularly if you have experience of working under pressure or to deadlines.
