It is an exciting time to join the Business School at Queen Margaret University.

We are in the process of redeveloping all our undergraduate degree programmes and plan to offer several new specialist routes, including business analytics and human resource management.

The Business School made a submission to REF for the first time in 2021 and we are now reflecting on how to build on that work to develop a reputation for business research that aligns with the university-wide commitment to social justice.

The Business School at Queen Margaret University has a real focus on the student experience and developing opportunities for applied and authentic learning.

Small year groups mean we get to know our students and can work collaboratively with them to develop and enhance our programmes.

You will be a committed educator, supervisor and outstanding communicator and will be expected to contribute to a range of teaching, research and/or scholarship, pastoral and administrative activities across the division.

You will be passionate about the student experience and committed to a teaching approach that integrates theory and practice with a particular focus on work-based learning.

While able to teach across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes it is likely that much of your role will be focused on our BA (Hons) Graduate Apprenticeship and the work experience/internship/placement modules that are offered across our other degree programmes.

You will also be expected to take a lead on developing and growing our relationships with relevant businesses and employers.

There may be potential to enable sponsorship of migrant workers in line with UKVI regulations and requirements.

As a university, we are committed to the Researcher Development Concordatand were, in fact, the first Scottish Higher Education Institute (and part of the first UK cohort of institutes) to publicly declare our commitment to its principles.

Queen Margaret University is committed to equality of opportunity for all by providing a supportive, flexible and inclusive working environment, and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.
