  • The Manchester College is based at many sites across the city, each with its own specialist cutting edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest FE College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Project Worker on a permanent, part time (22.2 hours per week) basis.**The purpose of this key role is to support the delivery of curriculum and pastoral care to learners in our specialist 16-18 education (Engage, Progress, Transition) provision. To work with individual and small groups of students who need additional support to address their social, emotional, and behavioural barriers to learning.


The postholder will work alongside teachers and other specialist staff to develop provision that will support student to move towards achieving their individual aspirations for the future.


In order to do this, you will need:

  • Relevant appropriate qualifications/experience of working in a youth related environment
  • The ability to work independently to achieve positive outcomes for learners
  • Ability to foster a culture of positive teamwork
  • Confident IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Flexible and pragmatic approach
