About the Role:


Base Location:
Reading, Havant, Glasgow


Salary:
Up to £66,000 + performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead in the establishment and ongoing maturity of SSE Information Management capability across the SSE Group.

Reporting to the Group Data & Information Governance Manager, you will be working in the hub of a 'hub and spoke' model which ensures that Information Management is optimised across the SSE business units and corporate functions ('the spokes').

The scope role is broad and evolving, but your initial focus will be in the following areas:

Document and Records Management
  • Leading in establishing the SSE Group Documents & Records management strategy and supporting the maintenance and efficient lifecycle of SSE Group Controlled Document Library

Microsoft 365, SharePoint and OneDrive governance
  • Design and facilitation of governance rules required for best practice for Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Information Request Handling
  • Lead in the design of the processes for fulfilling Regulatory & Legal information requests and eDiscovery.

Education, Adoption and leading Communities of Practice
  • Act as the central focal point for Information Management and directly encourage collaboration across areas that crossover directly with regard to Information Management such as Information Security, Data Protection Office, Group Risk, and M365 teams. Lead Communities of Practice across the SSE Group to share local best practice and success stories.

Information Governance Framework, Standards & Processes
  • Support in the development and implementation of the Information Governance Framework and facilitating the establishment of related policies and standards such as retention policies & schedules

What do I need?:

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Significant experience in working with M365 including knowledge or use of M365 Compliance Centre and/or Purview
  • Ability to take the initiative; selfdriven and proactive
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills: understanding business goals to influence strategic direction on information management
  • Knowledge of records management (ISO15489), Information Governance (ISO and data security (ISO27001) best practice standards is advantageous
