Are you currently leading in a Network Planner or Scheduling role? Or you currently a pro-active Network Planner looking for the next step in your career?Here at National Highways, we currently have a very exciting Senior Network Planner vacancy.
What You'll Be Leading On:
- Lead effective planning of network occupancy schedules, abnormal load movements and third party works in a way that optimises the network's overall availability and ensures road space can be managed in a way that minimises disruption to customers, whilst maximising operational delivery.
- Analyse the effectiveness of existing plans and arrangements in meeting service level expectations and identify opportunities for improvement; escalate risks and issues that affect delivery.
- Proactively liaise with regional Operations colleagues (e.g. Service Delivery and Scheme Delivery) and wider internal and external stakeholders to optimise network availability and minimise the impact of planned and unplanned events on customers.
- Develop and recommend best practice methods for the ongoing improvement of processes and activities in scope.
- Ensure that any relevant information, documents, materials, service delivery manuals, requirements and guidance are kept up to date and accessible to the wider regional teams.
- Coach and support the professional development of team members or supporting staff, line managing a small team.
- Take responsibility for the health and safety of the wider teams and yourself by challenging, reporting and acting on any unsafe activities or conditions.
To Be Successful:
- Experience of road space planning procedures and systems, understanding of road space planning objectives, abnormal loads protocols and procedures, and relevant technology systems.
- Health and safety legislation, regulations, working practices and procedures.
- Demonstrate strong Stakeholder Management throughout professional career.
- Strong experience within People management.
- Proficiency in IT Systems, Data and information management and distribution
