We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.


The Role


This is a great time to join GamCare as we're recruiting a Head of Digital Engagement, who will lead GamCare's digital engagement strategy ensuring that our approach to digital engagement protects and enhances the reputation of the organisation.


The Head of Digital Engagement will be a vital role within GamCare and will lead a Digital Engagement function that will develop existing and new digital content across multiple channels as a means of enhancing our position as a leading source of help and support for gambling harm.

As a member of the Senior Leadership team, the role will play an essential role in the development and delivery of GamCare's strategy and business plan and will drive best practice across the organisation on digital engagement.


About You


You will have experience of setting and delivering strategic priorities with the buy-in of senior internal and external stakeholders, plus managing a team by supporting and motivating staff, setting, and reviewing objectives, and supporting personal development.

You will have demonstrable experience of delivering high profile proactive and reactive social media strategies and delivering against clear business plans.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and embed a Digital Engagement team, creating a centre of excellence for GamCare's approach to digital engagement while also helping the team to thrive, feel valued and supported. The team's function to include the creation of content across multiple channels including but not exclusive to the GamCare website, Big Deal Website, and social media for both, enewsletters and webinars.
  • As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, work in partnership with your senior colleagues.
  • Guide GamCare's digital engagement delivery, metrics and reporting and also that of the National Gambling Treatment Service of which we are a part.
  • Create and deliver a measurable approach to digital engagement through the delivery of a strategy and measurable plan.
  • Identify opportunities for GamCare and the National Gambling Treatment Service to deliver excellent, measurable digital content.
