Description
Meridian are currently recruiting for a Cookhouse Operative to work for our client based in Wigan.

As a Cookhouse Operative, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation and production of high-quality food products, specifically related to pork-based items.


Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday
06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00


Pay Rate:

£10.50 per hour (Overtime £13.50 per hour)


Key Responsibilities:

Operating various kitchen equipment.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper food safety and quality.

Follow strict food safety and hygiene protocols, including wearing appropriate protective clothing, maintaining clean work areas, and adhering to sanitation standards.

Implement proper handling, storage, and disposal of raw materials and waste.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and promptly reporting any accidents or incidents to the appropriate personnel.


Qualifications and Skills:

Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
