Description
We are a well established shellfish processor in Scotland since 1984. We are based in Glasgow and part of an international Group.


Responsibilities:


  • Purchase Ledger raising PO, processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements
  • Declaration of landings / 1st buyer on Marine Scotland's website
  • Purchase supplier payment in bank
  • Sales Ledger generating invoices
  • Credit Control
  • Daily purchases spreadsheet followup
  • Dealing with accounting queries
  • Collecting payroll information and liaising with external accountant
  • Liaising with external accountant for start/end of contracts
  • Employees' Annual leave monitoring
  • Ensure administration work is carried out to follow company process & procedures.
  • Adhering to good housekeeping, filing and archiving
  • Working with good safety habits at all times. Promoting and supporting safe production and positive attitude.
  • General support & administration
  • Any other adhoc duties

Experience:


  • Proven experience as a financial administrator or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience using Sage 50 software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types:

Salary:
From £25,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Education:


  • Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience:


  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 3 years (required)
