About Our Client:

Page Personnel is representing a Logistics company based in Northampton.

The key responsibilities of the HR Advisor will;

  • Management of the HR Advisor inbox, providing responses to HR queries and advising on informal issues.
  • Managing cases in all areas of employee relations in line with Company policies, employment law and best practice, and within appropriate time frame. To include absence management, flexible working, performance management, disciplinaries, capability hearings, grievances, dismissals and appeals.
  • Advising and coaching leaders on employee relations issues to develop their people management and leadership skills and constructively challenging inappropriate behaviours or actions.
  • Reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures, contracts of employment and conditions of engagement (for workers), to ensure they are robust, effective and compliant with current employment legislation.
  • Work closely with the payroll manager to ensure accurate processing of monthly payroll, inputting pay data, resolving queries, producing reports
  • Administer the process for new employees and workers, for example; prepare contracts, offer letters and process all preemployment checks
  • Conduct onboarding meetings with new employees and workers and liaise with Line Manager's to ensure they are aware of their responsibility in the onboarding process.

The Successful Applicant:

The successful HR Advisor will have;

  • Level 3 CIPD Diploma in Human Resource Management (level 5 desirable)
  • Experience of working in an operational HR role providing advice and guidance on UK employment law and HR issues
  • Ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Confidential and proactive approach to work
  • Good communication skills

What's on Offer:

The HR Advisor will be offered;
- £30,000 - £40,000 salary
