Description

PMP Recruitment is recruiting CNC Machine Operators with experience within the automotive/manufacturing sectors to join our client located in the Cwmbran area.

ILocation:


Cwmbran

Shift Patterns and Hourly rate:


Monday till Friday, AM and PM Rotation or Nights Regular

6am-2pm £15.28

2pm-10pm £15.28

10pm-6am £16.55

Skills/Experience:

-
Previous experience of operating CNC machines is essential:


  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/automotive industry:
-
Experience in working in a medium/high volume production environment:


  • Understanding of quality systems and completing quality checks/gauging:
-
Attention to details is essential:


  • Able to work with mínimal supervision.

Duties:

-
Loading and unloading machines and movement of parts:


  • Adjust machine tools, tip changes, tool offsets to ensure the product meets the required specification:
-
Responsible for monitoring product quality via visual inspection and/or via gauge measurement:


  • Monitor and record production output vs target and record any downtime and rejects:
-
Carry out daily machining checks:


  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times:
-
Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality and machine availability:


  • Download program from the file server:
-
Ability to use a wide range of IMTE to facilitate inspection of completed components:


  • Setup and run CNC machining centres:
-
Prove out new NPI programs:


  • Use Vernier's and other inspection equipment to meet tolerance requirements stipulated in engineering drawings
