Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 35 hours per week:

1 day per week in office (Ealing, W5):

£18.27 per hour PAYE / £24 per hour Umbrella

Purpose Of Role

To provide a comprehensive and in depth telephone service for council tax and housing benefit / council tax support enquiries
To ensure that all contacts receive a good customer experience, in a professional timely and courteous manner at all times
To explain both housing benefit / council tax support entitlement to the customer to enable them to agree the appropriate council tax payment arrangement
To accurately update / amend accountabilities with regard to agreed procedures
To facilitate and promote the use of online services to Ealing residents i.e Myaccount

Essential Experience, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Experience, understanding and knowledge of council tax and/or benefits service
Demonstrates excellent customer care skills by seeking to understand the needs of customers and building rapport
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to maintain, update and interrogate computerised records, quickly and accurately
Proven experience of a customer services environment
Experience of the use of ICT solutions
