  • This is an exciting opportunity to begin your career in the childcare sector at Mucktubs.


The role is to work as part of a team, it requires caring for all the children's care needs alongside assisting with full range of daily duties.

We are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with a variety of aged children and is willing to learn all aspect of the job role.

In the role of an Early Years Apprentice you are required to train and study towards an Early Years childcare standard.

As an apprentice you will be given a mentor in the nursery and a Regional Early Years Trainer, who will support and provide training whilst you are at work.


Your duties will include:

  • Supporting children in play and learning activities.
  • Supporting with observations and planning for children's development.
  • Providing care routines.
  • Supporting staff with daily routines in the setting.
  • Contribute to the safeguarding of all children.
  • Build effective relationships with children, staff and parents.
  • Adhere to the settings policies and procedures.


As an apprentice you will be included on a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Apprenticeship, this will involve a Regional Trainer delivering a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, one to one training and workplace mentoring.

  • This vacancy is for at least the duration of the Apprenticeship with the possibility of fulltime employment upon the successful completion of the apprenticeship.

  • GCSE in Maths and English A-C (94)is preferred but training in functional skills level 2 is provided
  • Personal qualities 1Be motivated, punctual at all times and use own initiative.
  • Things to consider 1As an Apprentice, you will be included on a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner or Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the apprentices' chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role.

This will include the completion of functional skills in maths and English.

Once you have completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Inspiro Learning Regional Trainer will confirm you have met all the requirements of the standard you will be put through to the End Point Assessment.

The End Point Assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods, which test the skills, and knowledge of apprentices to ensure you are fully competent in your role.

As an Apprentice you will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, one to one training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help you to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare you for the End Point Assessment.

As an Apprentice you will be included on an Early Years Educator Apprenticeship. Your Qualification will be delivered by Inspiro Learning who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship.

This will involve a Regional Trainer meeting online with you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
