Kino is looking for an energetic, creative and enthusiastic Head Chef to become a key player in the planning, design and development of the next stage of the food offer of this 80-cover restaurant and bar.

The role will then recruit and lead a kitchen team for all catering within Kino and the Howard Assembly Room.

Kino's dining and events offering not only enhances the guest experience of the live performances at the Leeds Grand Theatre and Howard Assembly Room but is also earning a reputation as one of the best destinations in the city.

Kino has already created strong links with the local food economy by setting high standards of sustainability. Until April 23 Kino hosts MorMor as a kitchen residency. This new role will play a key part in moving the offer into a permanent in-house concept.

The restaurant is currently open Tuesday to Friday evenings from 5pm and Saturdays from midday.

We're looking for an experienced and talented Head Chef to run a smooth, courteous and efficient running kitchen operation. You will be responsible for ensuring food standards are continually maintained, staff are effectively managed, and targets are met. An initial team of Sous, CDP & KP will be enhanced with casual staff as required.

You will be a determined, self-motivated person willing to lead by example, well organised and consistently looking for improvements and efficiencies.

You will lead from the front in the kitchen being values-driven and achieving a healthy working environment and will work to agreed performance targets.

You will have exceptional social skills with the personality to inspire and excite and have previous experience of working within a high volume, quality food environment at a senior level.
