In this exciting role as a Programme Lead, you will work within the Supply Chain Transformation team, partnering closely with the Head of Supply Chain Transformation and Programme to lead all Programme management and governance activity across our end-to-end programme and managing a team Project Managers and PMO's (8 colleagues, 4 direct reports).Owning the overall programme plan and governance you will work collaboratively with our Tech, Change and Strategy teams to deliver joined up outcomes and ensure we unlock value as quickly as possible for our colleagues.

You will chair all programme governance meetings, ensuring appropriate stakeholder management and escalation processes are adhered to and lead the Portfolio/PMO Manager to design and embed governance best practice.

You will ensure we have strong risk, issue, change and dependency management, both internal and external to the programme and continually review manage assumptions, risks and issues with Project Owners in support of positive outcomes, supporting facilitation of problem solving across teams as appropriate.

You will be responsible for ensuring regular, high-quality engagement with senior leadership team (up to and including director level) to stay abreast of key programme developments & ensure a broad understand across the programme.

You will work closely with Strategy leads to ensure we are realising benefits from business case and delivering our long term strategy.

Working cross functionally with a number of different stakeholders can be challenging so we are looking for someone who.

  • Has programme experience across complex change programmes working in agile/hybrid approach
  • Has experience running governance of complex programmes with ability to facilitate governance meetings and drive desired outcomes, including escalating where appropriate.
  • Has experience working with senior stakeholders, keeping them informed of critical activities and distilling the detail into clear high level summaries to keep focus on priorities
  • Understands different project/programme methodologies
  • Challenges timelines to ensure realistic and achievable
  • Creates clarity in ambiguity and is resilient to moving timelines, with the ability to interpret changes to understand what it means for the business
  • Communicates with colleagues in an engaging and inspiring way, understanding the outcomes of the projects you govern and the role we all play to achieve the required outcomes.
  • Can build great working relationships and a strong network across the team.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint to a high degree of competence.
