We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our existing team, to be based at our head office in Basingstoke, on a hybrid basis.


The role:

As Finance Business Partner, will be the key finance business counterpart to the Heads of R&D and IT.

You will be proactive in analysing, interpreting, and challenging the R&D & IT financials and providing the business leadership with a firm understanding of their result.


Key duties:


  • Participating in Operating and Performance Reviews with Senior Management Team to support business leads in understanding key drivers of performance versus budget.
  • Ensuring R&D investment aligns with business priorities.
  • Vitality index reporting
  • Short
- and long-term financial planning for business areas

  • Monthly reporting of results against budget, working with Reporting team to provide insight through Power BI analysis.
  • Monitoring project spend against budget
  • Participating in the Project Review Board
  • Ensuring spend within the R&D and IT functions is justified.
What are we looking for?


As Finance Business Partner, you will have the following:


Key skills:


  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Experience of working with business units to deliver financials.
  • Experience within product development environment
  • Ability to interpret financials and provide meaningful insight to senior stakeholders.
  • Good personal organisation and clerical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly analytical and able to use Excel to advanced level.
  • Wide systems awareness
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Selfstarter and able to work independently.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Actively seeks opportunities for improvement.
  • Working knowledge of PowerBI would be advantageous.
