Lorien's client, an award-winning organisation with an amazing office in the heart of Edinburgh offering very flexible hybrid working arrangements, is well known for its widespread subscription service - the most popular of its kind (many of us here arecustomers ourselves).

Starting out around a decade ago, they have been growing rapidly to become an established brand and are now looking to expand their team with a new addition in the shape of a Senior Analytics Specialist or Manager.

Using your knowledge and skills to lead the Analytics team in a hands-on way as they focus on Data Analysis, reporting, and other relevant areas
Take the reins across the design and maintenance of data models/reporting and data automation systems/dashboards
Gather, analyse and model key data to guide strategic and technical decisions
Help the smooth running of crossteam datarelated projects
Use data to visualise and improve on the overall customer journey

Here's the kind of skills/knowledge they're looking for:

Solid track record of working as a Data Analyst or similar role, specifically within an eCommerce or subscription-oriented organisation
Ability to use SQL and Python, plus data visualisation tools such as Power BI / Qlik / Tableau
Strong statistical modelling skills with tooling such as Stata / R / similar
Strong knowledge of Excel and Access, BI reporting, and ideally a decent understanding of Databases/DB Tables
Ability to lead a team as a handson technical figurehead
