Position Overview:

Corporate Treasury is responsible for the direction and management of treasury and banking and capital structure strategies for FIS.

This includes the care and custody of FIS' cash and other financial assets and for banking relationships worldwide, includingforeign exchange risks.

Treasury manages relationships with external parties such as banks and credit ratings agencies.

The team develops and implements treasury policies and procedures applicable to all subsidiaries of FIS and acts as a partner to our businessunits.

Through these tasks, the goal is to optimize the utilization and efficiency of financial assets, maintain appropriate leverage and utilize FIS' balance sheet to enhance shareholder return.

Corporate Treasury has unique systems and timelines that require rapid deployment of technology and response to incidents.

While Treasury receives external support for the systems it uses, this support is system specific and may lack understanding of interactivitywith other systems.

Treasury's reporting is also different from that of businesses or other functions and may result from a combination of external and internal data.

The Treasury Systems Analyst I will aid the department with the increasing use of technologyin treasury.


Position Responsibilities:


The Systems Treasury Analyst I will be responsible for assisting with implementation of treasury technology, understanding of technology trends, training of users, developing reports and assist as requested, with communication with internal and external technicalresources.


Key Responsibilities:


Implement treasury technology:


  • Lead technical tasks required to complete implementation of Quantum and related processes/systems
  • Assist in evaluating new functionality to be considered for upgrading existing systems
  • Assist Treasury Manager during managed upgrades; assist with the creation of test scripts as needed
  • Understand functional and data requirements ahead of any new upgrade or module
  • Identify system requirements for complex treasury processes and transactions

Understand trends in treasury technology:


  • Understand trends and adoption of emerging technologies
  • Discuss new products / technologies offered by banks as directed by other treasury personnel

Train users:


  • Contribute to the current instructional training documentation database being maintained by the Treasury Manager (including material from 3rd parties)
  • Coordinate with users to develop sample scenarios of typical transactions to aid with training
  • Assist with the updating of instructional material
  • Coordinate with Treasury Analyst Specialist training sessions for users

Maintain governance of main systems:


  • Assist with the review approval workflows and user permissions
  • Propose changes to optimize use of system and maintain proper controls
  • Act as one of main system administrators of treasury systems
  • Assist with the performance of quarterly user access reviews per FIS policy

Develop reports:


  • Understand key user requirements, assist with creation of reports and help develop printed instructions to allow users to create their own reports
  • Collaborate with other treasury staff to develop the department's dashboard
  • Support the selection of KPIs to measure usage of systems, efficiency, cost, number of exceptions; run periodic reports on these metrics

Liaise with other technical resources:


  • Communicate with professional services organisation as required by a project or directed by treasury personnel
  • Work with customer support technicians to solve critical system issues
  • Communicate with bank resources during technical implementations as required by other treasury personnel
  • Support relationship currently held between Treasury Manager and FIS IT, network security and Oracle teams
  • Participate in discussions with technology vendors and assist with selection process, if applicable

Essential skills / Experience:


  • Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, business or other related field
  • 2 years of combined experience in treasury technology roles
  • Quantum, Trax & other FIS systems used by Treasury
  • System implementation skills
  • Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Analytical skills
  • Organizational skills and project management experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills present technical concepts in a clear manner to various levels of the organization and individuals with different backgrounds
  • Selfmotivated and quick learner
