Introduction


Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Europe Limited (BCASEL) is an EASA and UK CAA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on 737 NG/Max, 777 and 787 aircraft.


The B1 Licensed Mechanic will have responsibility for inspection and certification of work performed on Airframe, Engine and Electrical systems.

They will support the Licensed Aircraft Engineers with their day to day activities to ensure the daily workload is completed and the production plan remains on schedule.

This role is based at the London Gatwick Hangar facility working a rotational shift pattern.

A degree of flexibility is expected and shift patterns will vary as required in order to support business needs and operational requirements.

The role will report to the Maintenance Manager - Production.


Responsibilities

  • Inspection and certification of work performed on Airframe, Engine and Electrical systems.
  • Ensure aircraft technical log book, maintenance documentation, job cards, work packages are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales.
  • Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures.
  • Promote a just culture and report all incidents and occurrences in the Boeing Safety Management System.
  • Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
  • Support the Licensed Aircraft Engineer with their day to day activities, including supervision of Mechanics as required within assigned work areas.
  • Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Gatwick.

Required Qualifications:


  • Hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 Part66 Licence with or without type.

Desired Experience:


  • Experience exercising certification privileges within a Line or Base Maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrate 6 months recent maintenance experience on aircraft in a 2 year consecutive period.
  • Previous experience of using AMOS or other Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
  • Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in using Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in house systems.
  • Meet the requirements to hold a London Gatwick Airport airside pass.
