Description

The role will augment the extensive research activities of the Corrosion group, which currently spans areas such as net-zero and carbon storage, environmental biotechnology, metallurgy, and sustainable materials.

Key emphases include hydrogen/materials interactions within the hydrogen economy and safeguarding renewable systems, including new nuclear technologies and renewable energy systems.

The appointee is also expected to remain attuned to emerging sectors, such as knowledge transfer from offshore engineering to renewable structures, in alignment with the overall university strategy.

To meet expectations, the role necessitates securing research funding, supervising postgraduate and post-doctoral researchers, delivering timely presentations and publications with protection of intellectual property, and engaging in/initiating relevant collaborations.
