Today the airfield hosts global majors in the film production industry, continuing to tell great stories and provide world classentertainment, for both the large and the small screen.

To support this expansion, the team are looking to appoint a
Facilities Technician.


What is the role?
The
Facilities Technician role is focussed on supporting our clients, responding to their needs in a variety of ways but primarily by ensuring the facilities are in good order to enable them to operate without distraction


The key responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Be the first point of contact for all site contractors, visitors and deliveries to assist in providing appropriate directions and instructions and access to facilities as required.
  • Ensure the site and its facilities are clean, neat and tidy and convey a positive image.
  • Receive reports of issues, damage and repairs from Production crews and ensure reports are compiled and referred to the Studio Operations Manager.
  • Support contractors to enable access, operations and completion of works.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
  • To the extent it can be conducted safely and within your skill set, undertake repair and maintenance activities/provide support as required to contractors/others tasked with such operations.
  • Be vigilant in observing visitor behaviours that potentially cause risk or are contrary to established standards, correcting the same and/or bringing serious breaches to the attention of the Studio Operations Manager.
  • As required provide general support, run errands etc in support of the operations as requested from time to time by the Studio Operations Manager.
  • Conveying the standards and Values of the organisation, respond professionally to all queries and complaints, ensuring that those that cannot be resolved are referred to the Studio Operations Manager.

  • You have 3+ years of relevant facilities maintenance or similar experience.
  • You have a range of skills that could be widely described as "handyman".
  • Particular skills or qualifications inareas such aselectrical, plumbing, carpentry, decorating etc. will be favourably viewed.
  • Tickets for operating machinery such as telehandler, scissors lift, cherry pickers, will be viewed favourably, but not essential.
  • You are highly customer focussed, with the ability to create an excellent customer experience.
  • You are perceptive and proactive solving problems before they become an issue.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills with good written and communication skills.
  • You are a person who sees solutions, not problems.
  • You have a real "cando" attitude.
