(Emotional Resilience Team - Educational Psychology Service, South Tyneside)

£29,439 pa

This is a Fixed Term contract for a period of 12 months due to Funding


The Emotional Resilience Team is part of South Tyneside Educational Psychology Service, which is a friendly, highly supportive and nurturing team of educational psychologists, specialist teachers and emotional resilience officers.

The Service is very well regarded by its users, as is evident from the consistently excellent feedback it receives. It maintains highly positive working relationships with schools, other professionals and the Local Authority.

There are opportunities to engage in a wide variety of work, including emotional resilience interventions, emotionally based school avoidance, and supporting the transition of children moving from primary to secondary education.


You will have a designated caseload of students based in schools across South Tyneside and the opportunity to get involved in a range of different work to help to support children and young people with their ability to cope with adversity, improve their resilience, along with ensuring a smooth transition from primary to secondary education, whilst also supporting children and young people in schools to improve social, emotional and behavioural development and to remove barriers to learning.

You will also provide additionality to the existing support mechanisms to improve attendance, behaviours and self-esteem.


We are seeking an emotional resilience officer who is willing to be part of a multidisciplinary team and who has experience in working with children and young people in both mainstream and specialist settings.
