Working week
Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm

Total hours per week: 40 hours a week

Apprenticeship summary

• Seal samples for sampling and production

- this involves ensuring fit is correct, measurements are accurate, trims etc are in the correct position

• Correspond with factories regarding time lines, trims, fabrics and samples

- this includes directing factories in adjusting patterns/ shape/ fit as necessary

• Maintain a production schedule/plan and reviewing all stages to ensure timely delivery in order that agreed dates are met
• Create purchase orders using our online software (training will be given)
• Check the quality of garments
• Liaise with factories on daily basis
• Liaise with third party sites to update stock and inventory and follow up sales
• Publish online stock as we receive them with descriptions
• Monitor Production flow and ensure to arrange shoot samples
• Call wholesale customers to inform the new arrivals and liaise their orders

Training to be provided

• Level 3 (A level) Business administrator
• Functional Skills (if required)

Requirements:


Desired skills and personal qualities

• Proven experience in Merchandising in a Fashion Retail business
• Experience of planning weekly sales, stock and intake management
• The confidence to manage and own a category, including participating in weekly trade meetings
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels
• Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment
• Experience of managing and developing team members (desirable)
• A passion and interest in online retail loves product development
• Have at least 12 years of commercial experience in the same role
• Be educated to a degree level in Fashion
• Good knowledge of patterns, grading, garment construction, and manufacturing and an eye for current trends in fashion.
• Have good English both spoken and written (as will be speaking with factories in India, China & Romania)
• Be highly organized and able to work on many projects at once

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 94 (A**C)) essential
• GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 94 (A**C)) essential
