Salary £21,189 - £21,968 Per annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Pro Rata

We are looking for a motivated Technical Support Officer (Administration) to join our team at Lancashire County Scientific Services.

Working as part of Lancashire County Council, Scientific Services delivers a UKAS accredited scientific support service for internal LCC services and to commercial customers and covers a range of scientific, analytical services.

This office-based role plays a critical role in supporting our Service and in providing a high
- quality, frontline service to our customers.

In this role you will be;

Greeting customers and contractors to the laboratory
Liaising with contractors and customers
Receiving samples into the laboratory and completing their registration on our laboratory database
Producing technical reports and undertaking data inputting
Directing calls to appropriate staff members
Taking delivery of supplies
General office administration

Specifically, you will need to demonstrate;

Experience of working in an administrative role (experience of working with technical databases would be an advantage)
A commitment to 'first rate' customer service
Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
An ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
Excellent organisation skills
That you can use your initiative and work 'proactively' as part of a team
