Established for over 35 years and now one of the North West's leading& multi award winning Engineeringcompanies, WEC Group Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Machine Shop Inspector to work in our busy quality department at WEC Machining in Blackburn.

This is the perfect opportunity for a motivated and dynamic person to thrive, working within a successful and vibrant team.

Responsibilities

Monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control activitieswithin machining, including:

First off, patrol and final inspection of machined components
Calibration of measuring equipment
Control and monitor QMS procedures
Maintain quality records

Machine Shop Inspection activities including -

Provide Independent machining support and advice
Review of Job Packs and drawings
Assist with contract review
Use of CMM and micro height
Review and control of material certs
CMM programming
Shop audit

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

Must be a time served machinist
Previous Machine Shop Inspection experience is essential
CMM Programming and operating experience is essential
Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator, both written and verbal is essential
Computer literate is essential
Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office is essential

Working Location/Environment
Blackburn, Lancashire

Hours of Work:

Mon - Thurs 7:30 - 16:30 Fri - 7:30 - 12:30 (39 Hours a Week)
