The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to work within a leading end-to-end audio-visual solutions provider as their Operations Manager.
Your role will be general management of day-to-day running of the Operations Department. You will oversee high-level HR duties for operations team, such as attracting talent and setting training standards. You will also analyse and improve organisational processes,and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency.

Role Description

  • Leadership and mentorship of operational direct reports.
  • Escalation path as required for the operational team.
  • Attend and chair weekly team meetings to understand key issues / risks.
  • Attend and chair internal meetings for Sales to Operations handover.
  • Meet with Project Managers to review project status and any other key issues.
  • Meet with Service Engineers to review ticket status and any other key issues.
  • Meet with Field Engineers to review ticket status and any other key issues.
  • Drive revenue in line with sales order intake and budget expectations.
  • Review reports to track project performance and financial health.
  • Review and approve project budgets at project commencement with any supporting information, programmes, labour histograms subcontractor quotes.
  • Maintain the operations information held in the company's chosen system.
  • Liaise with sales group to track new opportunities.
  • Track project management loading and allocate projects to the project management team.
  • Track service engineer loading and allocate tickets to the service team.
  • Track field engineering loading and allocate tickets to the field engineering team.
  • Approve all subcontractor spend on projects through subcontractor requisition forms.
  • Fortnightly invoicing review with finance.
  • Operations playbook implementation / continued adoption by team to ensure the framework is adhered to.
  • Assisting the business with HR / disciplinary matters as required.
Based in SW London salary is £50k-£60k plus benefits

Your skills and experience

  • Can demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of project management principles.
  • Can demonstrate strong leadership skills, mentoring others and working in collaboration with the business to achieve goals.
  • Can demonstrate experience of leading a team.
  • Can demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding PL by department and office.
  • Can demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of revenue, backlog, WIP, forecasting budget verses actual analysis.
  • Can demonstrate extensive experience of sales engagement with regards to presales support.
  • Strong presentation skills both internally and for external.
  • Can demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of cost control on a project, programme and departmental level.
  • Can demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of monitoring and controlling programme activities for key clients.
  • Can demonstrate strong communication skills key stakeholder expectation management both internally and externally.
  • Can demonstrate strong written and verbal reporting functions internally to meet requirements of the business.
