£21-£22 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Cut and bend steel bars to specific shapes using manual and power tools
Install and position reinforcing steel bars or mesh in concrete forms to provide a framework for concrete placement
Place and secure steel bars or mesh in concrete using wire, clips, or other fasteners
Use measuring tools such as spirit levels, tape measures, and laser levels to ensure accuracy and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
Repair or replace damaged steel bars or mesh as needed
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Steel Fixer on various types of construction projects
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Physical fitness and manual dexterity
A strong commitment to health and safety
Valid CSCS card

Salary:
£22.00 per hour
