SRG are working very closely with a rapidly growing molecular diagnostics and pathology services company who provide a number of services to a number of growing industries including the private healthcare sector.

Due to continued growth and company development,they are looking to recruit a Quality Lead to ensure quality and compliance is maintained.


Key responsibilities:


  • Obtain and maintain UKAS & CQC accreditation.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements relevant to the business including but not limited to UKAS, DHSE, CQC, HSE and associated international standards (ISO15189/ISO22870)
  • Act as point of contact and liaison with UKAS and CQC and other accrediting organisations, coordinating inspections and responding to noncompliances and deficiencies.
  • Communicate changes in legislation, recommended working practices and best practice from the government, accrediting, inspection and professional bodies to the Laboratory Management Team
  • Provide advice and critical review on policy, standard operating procedures, objectives, and resources to the Laboratory Management Team
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Q-Pulse for the business to comply with the standards of accreditation bodies including UKAS and CQC
  • Guide and manage the quality team and champion continuous improvement.
  • Support & train others where required in the requirements and management of applicable regulations.

Key skills and experience:


  • Extensive experience within quality assurance and in a management role
  • Knowledge of the pathology sector
  • Experience with the implementation and accreditation with ISO15189 and ISO22870
  • Experience with QMS systems such as QPulse
  • Experience of drafting SOPs, Policies and other quality documents
  • Experience of CQC, HSE and DHSE regulations in regard to diagnostic laboratories
  • Proven experience with managing multiple projects and assigning priorities.
  • Ability to identify and implement operational improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
