We have an exciting opportunity for a
Divisional Risk Business Partner. This is a home based role reporting into the Risk & Assurance Director.


Responsibilities

  • Facilitates divisional, sector and contract teams' (1st LoD) management of risk: identification, assessment, response planning and implementation
  • Coordinates the risk process, including the drumbeat for reviews and reporting
  • Periodically reviews risk exposure to ensure risk is managed at the correct level, supporting Group Risk Manager in maintaining the currency of Principal Risks
  • Coordinates risk support across the division's activities based on priority (divisional / sector / contract risk management, major bids etc)
  • Develops, maintains and reports on; divisional risk information, overall risk exposure and RM performance, ensuring this reflects changes and emerging threats and opportunities at both strategic and operational / contract levels
  • Supports the R&A Director in developing, implementing and improving the group risk framework within the division and its sectors, accounts & contracts
  • Leads elements of R&A transformation, improving risk practice and culture across the business, in particular at Divisional and Contract level.

Deliveries

  • Divisional / sector / contract risk management plans
  • Periodic divisional risk reports and analysis
  • Trend / emerging risk analysis to support currency of grouplevel principal risks
  • Delivery of risk management training iaw Group framework (at and below divisional level)

Technical

  • Good understanding of risk arrangements across enterprise, operational, contract and project / programme perspectives
  • Experience of risk management toolsets and emerging riskrelated technology
  • Expert in quantitative risk analysis (QRA) techniques and common toolsets
  • Established project management skills: ability to plan, budget for and manage projects to agreed cost and time targets.
  • Experience of business planning, budgeting / target setting, finance processes and contract types and the impact on (and interdependency with) risk arrangements
  • Experience of leading work winning (bid) risk management activities for major (>£100m) bids.

  • Leadership: proven ability to manage small teams to deliver on multiple, competing demands. Motivates, coaches and develops others to maximise potential
  • Confident in organising and delivering large facilitated workshops (virtually or in person) and adept at engaging senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present and explain complex information to a diverse audience including senior managers, directors, and executive board members.
