    What you'll be doing as a Support Worker?
  • Working as a member of a team supporting people 7 days a week 365 days a year.
  • Providing support from a supported living scheme.
  • Taking a key role in supporting people to access a range of daytoday activites
  • Activities inside and outside a persons home, including physical acticities such as hiking.
  • Helping people look after there own home, shop, cook and manage their tenancy.
  • Helping people access activities, education and jobs.
  • To protect people your support from any risks to their health and welfare
  • To provide emotional support to the young people within your home.
  • To ensure the safety of people by maintaining an uptodate knowledge of care plans and guidelines
  • To support, overcome and learn to minimise incidents when behaviour can be challenging.

What you'll need to be successful as a Support Worker

  • A desire to work with people to make a difference.
  • A desire to create positive outcomes.
  • Be able to cope with people who struggle to communicate and may rely on behaviours that are challenging.
  • Empathetic, caring and resilient nature.
  • A past history of coaching or motivating others in work, sports or play?
  • A current Valid UK manual Driving Licence
  • Have the right to work in the UK

You role will make a massive impact on the people you support who will require your help throughout the day to make their lives work.


It's extremely important that you enable the people will support to enjoy themselves by participating in activities throughout the day, both in the home and out in the community.

The role includes supporting people on outdoor activities such as hiking or swimming so it is essential you are physically able to participate in these activities with the people you support.
