Scientific Director


A rare opportunity to join a leading MedComms agency as a Scientific Director, co leading an account as a publications lead.


The Role
As Scientific Director, you will co-lead the account with another Senior Scientific Director and collaborate with Client Services partners.

Its an exciting time to be joining as the account is at a great time in development and you will get to act as a strategicpartner to the sought after client.

This will mean you are involved in lifecycle management, data and any product approvals.


You will have the opportunity to lead a team of scientific writers, advise clients and authors, and make suggestions to shape and align client strategy.

You will also be able to innovate within the publications space to help the client stay at the forefrontof communications.


Day to Day Responsibilities include:


  • Lead large publications accounts
  • Advise the client based on your experiences
  • Resource projects amongst the team
  • Develop and oversee content development, providing continual editorial support and guidance
  • People management as well as coaching and mentoring the team to success
  • Ensuring that the highest quality standards are met at all time
  • Be an active member of the agencies senior team and lead crossagency initiatives

What you need to succeed in this role:

  • High science degree
  • 6+ years' experience in the medical communications industry
  • Interest in Oncology
  • Extensive experience supporting publications accounts
  • In depth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and publications compliance
